Saarinista ......, but cutting my own hair is a real stretch- especially in the back. Why cut it? Some women like their hair pulled from the back during doggy sex. (and some don't like to have their hair pulled) I know, I know, no sex partner. That is sad.

I"m a nurse...I have not experienced the stay at home as many have. I still go to work each day...patients we have are just sicker than we typically see. This has been really depressing, but the community has been wonderful. When this is over...I look forward to going back to the gym. Running outside is great, but I miss my weights! Honestly, I kind of envy you. I've been basically unemployed (except for doing home projects which is worse) and depressed for far too long. (yeah it's my fault but difficult to get bacon the saddle, blah blah.) lAt least you guys are needed-and paid.😉 Conversely, I know this is a stressful time, and I feel for you, as this places a great strain on health care workers. I hope you have sufficient ppe. Please take care of yourself. I don't want you to get sick.

They really are taking good care of us. My friend in NJ...not the same story.

I've dyed my own hair for years but if I can't manage just the roots I'm taking out my highlights I guess I could find a makeup brush and attempt just the roots. I suck at doing my nails but I guess I can soak off my dip nails and cut them. Ugh

I'm not a nurse and we are not treating covid but I work in a surgery center so I'm still working. The other day someone hung a " hero's work here" on our building that was nice. There are several doctors offices, physical therapy and a dialysis center in the building. Hope you are holding up ok. Thanks for all you do!

I miss family dinners with our tribe and camping. First thing we are gonna do is get together for dinner and sit around campfire with them.

Go to Barnes & Noble and smell the books. I hear ya. But man, you better get there quick... they’ve been on the ropes for so long, and this shutdown is going to steamroll retail companies that were struggling. I lost my two favorite engineering bookstores in Silicon Valley years ago; shopping online is just not the same thrill as discovering a new subject on the shelf. I know; they were hemorrhaging money before the plague. I remember way back when Borders closed down. That was a sad time, as I always preferred Borders over B&N.

I never realized how much I touch people until this. People come into my model and I now greet them with... jazz hands.
We Have a great laugh.
FFS. Touch is my super power. A handshake, an elbow while we are walking through my model. So very hard!
What is harder?
I am considered “essential”. I deal with housing: no significant slow down in my business or in my city. We have so many people moving here...
I have a Toyota/Mazda plant I figured would slow down (it isn’t) as well as an army base that is supply chain and a crazy research park. I am thankful, do not get me wrong.
But!!
I was home for 6 weeks. 2 weeks of that? Thought I had it. Low grade fever after a girls’ weekend in Tampa. Body aches. I traveled on a plane March 5-7th. I stayed away and had my model home covered.
On third week / virtual appointments only. I think my national company decides They needed a revenue base. 1.5 Weeks ago / we got the order to be back in our models.
They gave us 18 hours notice.
I know it’s because we can carry the rest of our country for the company / we have the lowest rates in this region. However, I am 😡
I am thankful for my job. I make an incredible living now/. However. Everyone that walks through my model is from somewhere else. 10 minutes into a meeting yesterday, bitch told me she was a traveling extroverted nurse. Just got back from fucking Detroit.
She knew she “was okay” even if she was on “day 7 of a mandatory 14 day quarantine”.
WTAF?
I am a people-lover: I am starting to HATE people.
I enjoyed qualifying people from home. I had fun with my girls.
I find myself more than a few minutes late - And I find myself after a boring day, leaving a few minutes early
I do not care anymore.

It’s been a while since I posted a question of the day. Today I came across this question in my news feed. It was too good not to share! Food for thought...
If I keep doing what I am about to do today for the next 5 years, will I end up with more of what I want or less of what I want?

If I keep doing what I am about to do today for the next 5 years, will I end up with more of what I want or less of what I want? Yey QOTD is back 🥳 This question goes to the notion of taking responsibility for oneself and your own happiness. I believe happiness can be a conscious choice and you can choose to view the world positively or negatively. Sure, life throws crap everyone’s way from time to time, no-one gets to swerve that fact. Sometimes it’s stuff you bring on yourself, sometimes it is anything but. Regardless, you reap the consequences. However, you can choose how you respond and have full control of how you deal with it. You can capitulate into self pity and woe, or take the hard route and come out smiling. I smile a great deal these days, and I have earned that.

Sometimes the cosmos hands us a big shit sandwich. Sometimes the choices of other people result in us getting a shit sandwich as collateral damage. Sometimes the choices we have made ourselves result in a shit sandwich.
One way or another, everyone gets a shit sandwich .... and if you haven't had yours' yet, rest assured, it's coming.
The thing is that however you got your particular shit sandwich, it falls on you to sort it out.
So the choices you make today are going to produce consequences in the days / weeks / months ahead. Just as the choices you made in 2016 have shaped your life right now.
The thing is that if you base your choices on what is in your own best interests longer term (even if those choices are very painful in the short term) then you can't go too far wrong.
Unfortunately there is rarely any instant gratification in the process of sorting out your own shit. Usually it is just a hard slog with the "rewards" off in the future.
But, soon enough, it will be 2026 .... and what that picture looks like will be driven by the choices you make (or don't make) today.

I have this theory that everything that is ever going to happen has already happened, like the present is just a particular spot on a giant DVD, we have no chance of affecting the outcome of things, what ever choice we make has already been made. We think we have free choice but we don't.
TO go along with that (not my theory) is that if we had to go back in time and change something, that wouldn't affect us but would create an alternate universe with a different future, which to me meands a new S+DVD would be created.

If you'd ask me earlier, it would be less of what I want.
Since I'm making massive chances, I hope it would be more of what I want.
