Want to make this site better? Have a suggestion or comment? Want to offer some "kudos"? Please do!
Have a complaint? Those are OK, too -- but please make sure they are as constructive as possible.

I'm all for the "no dick pics" policy. Should we clarify that "boob pics are welcomed"? ;-)
But... Diapers? To each their own, but if you're into a niche fetish, you should be conscious of the "niche" part - I.e., not widely appreciated...

It was a jokey suggestion because besides the pedos that's what squicked me out most to run into on EP. Probably should not have cluttered the suggestion box with it.

I do miss posting my age, and knowing the age of others. It helps with how I respond. Knowing I am old enough to be someone's dad, or that we went to H.S. together makes a difference.
knowing if we are one county or 3000 miles from each other makes a difference.

I have added an optional "Age Range" dropdown. You may now set your age from the "Personal" tab of your profile. If you do, your selection will show up on your profile for others to see, and under your avatar on your posts. Note this ISN'T tied to your birthdate. Thus, once in a while you should return to your profile tab and updated it. Since the selection is like EP's 5-year bands, I recommend you update this field at least once every five years. There already is an optional "Location" field in the "Personal" tab of your profile. Fill it in, and it will be visible when folks view your profile.

I'm giving a shot at including the old info in my display name. We'll see if that works well, though voluntary is not as effective as the EP style. If you've noticed, the [voluntary] "Age Range" selection does show up in your "mini profile" [if the user selects a value]. The "mini profile" is the "stats" below your avatar when shown to the left of your posts. And it also shows a ♂ or ♀ sign. So you don't really have to cram all that into your screenname... Mr "DryCreek (MM, 45-50)".

Perhaps a separate category for those in the process of leaving/getting a divorce? One of Mountainrunner's posts gave me the idea, having had no real place to put her story.

Going to add one cool feature of this site: Notifications. Profile, you have them set as instant or however, as you prefer, whatever email notifier you have will go off, such as phone sitting nearby. You are notified of what you choose. Lots of emails to delete later, but it works well. Nobody wants to refresh page to see news. Good deal with this, I think set up rather well.

Also, the “Sexless Marriage Issues” Board will fill up quickly with Subjects. I am hesitant to begin offering my details, don't know where to put it because it really is highly unusual. Not married but would like to be, neither party is sexless by choice, filled with physical health issues, more. And I need help. So should we all continue to create our own Subjects, with the hopes that when Board is filled it will be found and read? Maybe soon there will be 600 members, Board has 400 Subjects, nobody will see your new one? Sorry I'm rambling.

So should we all continue to create our own Subjects, with the hopes that when Board is filled it will be found and read? Hi, Sand. That's exactly how it works. You create a new thread (subject) in the appropriate board (e.g., the Sexless Marriage Issues board) as you would create a story on EP. People can reply to it separate from other conversations. Newest threads appear at the top, so they'll get comments and not get lost. They also get flagged as new anytime they're updated, to help keep them active. Fire away!

I participate in another forum, (which, strangely enough, has nothing to do with sex, marriage, lack of the former, or regrets about the latter. I know, go figure), and they have one feature I like that can help solve Sand's problem about a message getting lost in the clutter. They have a "Latest forum posts" display on the homepage. It seems to work by placing the title of the most recent post at the top of the list as a link. When you click on the link, it takes you to the post. It does not display which category the post is under, only the title. If one is careful with the title of one's post, the category should be fairly obvious. The list is in its own little box on the homepage, and lists the most recent 10 posts.
