Probably the wrong place for this, but since I’m normally such a misery-guts, I thought I’d share.
Nothing whatsoever in my personal situation has changed, but I woke up this morning just…on. Things worked. The sun was out. Driving was good—the lights were in my favor, the engine wound nicely, I got the gear changes right (not a euphemism; I drive a stick. (Also not a euphemism.)) I spent 10 minutes talking to a nice young guy, another customer in the Asian grocer’s, about soy sauce and chili paste, and he engaged completely in ways that I’d forgotten happened, turning body and feet and attention in my direction, even though I was dressed for lawn care, not lust. His wife had to come and retrieve him. (Not my fault, sister; you let him wander away. Don’t repeat the mistakes of my youth.)
No, my husband isn’t here to take advantage of my mood; he also isn’t here to ruin it.
Anyway, that’s it. A nice morning spent simmering away. Hope your day is equally nice.
I’m sure I’ll be back with my usual morosity by middle of next week.

Those little things like that innocent conversation with someone of the opposite sex that notices you are a huge boost to the mood and ego, especially when your spouse frankly couldn't give a shit.
The second to last year of my marriage, my wife got a family gym membership. In short order, I was the only one that used it, and I used it regularly. I started taking the fitness classes, which were almost entirely women. I was not only happy with my progress, but, happy with the company. I got more positivity out of a one hour class and a bit of conversation afterward than I got from my wife in any given week.
So, congratulations in finding your happiness today. I hope you find it again every day.

Glad to hear you are having a great day. Those kind of days brighten one's life!
Winter finally seems to be gone here. Spring is one of my favorite seasons. I love this time of year!! The weather around here is very dreary in the winter. It is typically very rainy with gray skies and frequently fog. When spring arrives everything comes back to life and it (usually!) rains less. Spring is such a beautiful season!
I'm planning a family picnic for my side of the family. (My wife may or may not participate.) Either way, I'm looking forward to the family picnic! I will be planning more events like this over the coming months. One of my Aunts used to set these events up. Unfortunately, she passed away. Since that time, no one has taken on that role.
To get back to Hanamidreaming's post, this could be a more engaging conversation if the part about driving a stick WAS a euphemism! I suppose this isn't the right place for that conversation though!
