I'm the exact opposite! I'd rather go out for a run or a bike ride than do yard work any day of the week. there are shoes with aerating spikes. You can put those on and run around your yard. Then spread grass seeds afterwards. There are so many things wrong with this, I don't even know where to begin. Special shoes? Spikes? RUNNING? Spreading seeds? Ugh. Just reading that makes me want to nap. And have a cupcake.

I pay my daughter $10/hr to mow the yard.

Do what I did. Remove all the grass, plant a few desert plants and call it Xerascape.

Beeman: The state of my matrimonial home is terrible. Lawn work to be done, no flower baskets etc. It certainly reflects my dead marriage. Hope I get motivated again once I move.

I also hate yardwork, just like i hate any kind of service project that reminds me of my wife's intense love of being served. I pay soneone else to do it. Of course, this is unacceptable because i should want to do it myself.

I am moving to a place that has no lawn work at all. Ivy ground cover at the front and courtyard at the back. I see lots of hanging baskets and flower pots. When it's for myself to enjoy I can get enthused about it again.

I really do. It's like waging a war on mother nature and losing in the most epic way. Lol. At least it's like that for me. I have so many weeds in my yard and landscaping that it's unreal. I'm a disgrace to the neighborhood. I'm surrounded by perfect lawns and landscaping. How do they do it?! Argh! Oh well... at least it's not snow. Hire someone else to do the yard work for you! Problem solved.
