I'm in Washington as well, and there is one corner in my town with five coffee shops in sight and a completely different spot where you can see three Starbucks, it's beautiful. Never have I ever been to a place with better coffee than what the state of Washington has to offer. Sorry but Starbucks doesn't count as good coffee. Oh, I completely agree, Starbucks doesn't count as good coffee. I include that into the consistently mediocre coffee section of my coffee preferences.

I think of Starbucks as the McDonalds of coffee, it's good, not great, but my iced grange caramel latte tastes exactly the same no matter which Starbucks I go to. Now, if you want a seriously good cup of coffee you need to go to Kaladi Brothers. I refer to it as "brown crack", when I take that first hit, I mean sip, I can feel it coursing through my body, like liquid joy! They are originally from Anchorage but they have a location on Pike in Seattle, on the Capital Hill side of I-5. Of you happen to find yourself in Seattle, Anchorage, or Denver, go get yourself a cup. I recommend the Latte Kaladi. Yummy!

Can confirm, am from Alaska. I also recommend Cafe Darte. Also found a lot in Alaska, speckled around Washington. Yum freaking tum

I found Cafe D'Arte to be hit and miss depending on the location.

I go to Portland about 4 to 6 times a year already. I probably could swing it, just depends on timing really.

Hey! I'll be back in Seattle/Portland for at least a month this summer - Fellow Washingtonian in the house! (Sadly live very very far south now) - but once a Seattleite always a Seattleite☂️
If a date is chosen that jives with my visit home, I'm in!

I tend to prefer the smaller independent roasters like Sunrise in PT which makes strong coffee for the shipwrights in the port.
Speaking of Woodinville, one of my favorite bicycle rides is to take the ferry to dt Seattle and ride up to Ballard via Magnolia and Discovery park, then hop on the Burke Gilman to Woodinville and the Red Hook Brewery for lunch. That would be s great place to meet.

I am an East coaster, bring on the Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreem There coffee is perfect to go with a hot and fresh glazed donut. Mmmmmmmm When they come off the conveyer they melt in your mouth and before you know it, the whole box is gone. Eating thier donuts is my 2nd favorite thing to eat.

You'll just have to settle for one of the 140 wineries, 7 distilleries, or 9 other breweries that have locations in Woodinville. If you want weed I recommend Higher Leaf in Kirkland for that. Lol www.washingtonbeerblog.com/redhook-announces-that-the-woodinville-brewery-is-closing/

Sounds like forecasters will still be there. I don't much care about the actual brewing location.

I vote for LA. There's much more to it than movie stars.
