Same for me, I met her on eHarmony. We were reasonably matched for sex when we met. She like to have orgasm and I loved to give them and she didn't mind if I had my share if I managed without too much fuss or creativity from her. My current partner related to me that during her 30 odd yrs. of marriage she neither gave or received oral sex. No anal activity either. Only after her divorce did she meet someone who introduced her to the more pleasurable aspects that these activities have to offer. I want to "Thank" that guy where ever he is. Someone I didn't know heard from a mutual friend that I worked at a large telecom, and called me asking if I could help him find a job. I couldn't, but during the course of the conversation he said he knows a woman who might be good for me just based on how I talk.
So it may have been the only blind date in history where one party didn't even know the matchmaker.

I've had a longstanding interest in the language and culture of a certain country that I won't name here. I met someone from that country, who introduced me to her cousin. We started writing to each other (pen, paper, envelopes, stamps... this was not long after Al Gore invented the internet, so email was not ubiquitous and international phone calls were very expensive). Eventually I went to her country and met her, and we got married.
If you have a serious interest in learning another language, I'd recommend italki.com, which helps people find native speakers of many languages. You can talk with them and practice speaking each other's languages using Skype, Wechat, etc.
