True assertiveness is your ability as an adult to recognize your own rights, wants and needs, for the three different things that they are.
To recognize the rights, wants and needs of others, then to see all six of those in relationship to the whole.
I am not talking about assertive aggressiveness where your assertiveness aggresses all over everyone else because you have a *right*.
