Late to the party but I love this thread! Minethat is actually the same as Sandra’s: “Confront me if I don’t ask for help.” I can be too proud sometimes and try to do things all myself. I can’t. Going through the recent process of separating, moving, becoming a single mom of a child with special needs... if nothing else, it is all helping me learn how to be more comfortable with asking for help. And I am learning that people are eager to give when I ask. I deal with special needs kids everyday as part of my job. Co-parenting a special needs child is hard enough, but doing that as a single mom must be exhausting. I have to give you credit choosinghappy, you are an amazing person. |

Mine is similar to javba. "Comfort me when I don't love myself." Too many times in my life, when I'm rejected, I hate myself because I accept as fact what a rejector will say about me. Occasionally people will tell me things they really like about me and I don't always accept those as being very important because I'm too focused on the negative that someone I really care and admire has said to me. , your comment reminded me immediately of this quote:  You are right choosinghappy.
