Today's question: When was the last time you truly had fun, and what did you do? Playing Warhammer Fantasy (a table top miniature wargame) with a group of guys last Fall. Snacks and beer and competition between friends.

No real fun for an entire year, h ? Maybe you should host the next tournament... Everyone has busy schedules. We've been trying to coordinate another game night for a while now. Damn work keeps getting in the way. As for hosting, I would love to but my house is a wreck due to some maintenance/repair work that is taking longer than expected. I'm doing the work myself, but fitting it into my work schedule has been problematic and ends up on the bottom of the priority list.

Fun thing - my 4 year old grandson and I set up a trompoline. Yes he was helpful. He is observant and focused. Within the context of this thread my W and I visited Biltmore Estate to see the Chihuly glass exhibit. It was mentally stimulating to see the art and the craftsmanship. Asheville, NC is a great city with excellent restaraunts and cultural venues. Since we stayed two nights I had the added bonus of a fabulous morning BJ. As a tangent to this post I recently read a blog entry with this tidbit of wisdom - there’s a lot of baffled people in the throes of a divorce, wondering why their lover’s leaving them. And the answer is, all too often, “I realized I wasn’t having any of my good times with you.” The blog

Now fun is something I insisted on years ago. Really! I just realized how unhappy I was and decided to do things that make me happy. I do not have enough of it but I try to grab fun whenever I can. Some of my known fun activities:
Time with friends- had some yesterday and I make sure I have some time with my friends every week. My preference for campfires with guitar playing or game playing as a group has not been happening for a year or so.
Hiking- went for a 2 hour hike alone this weekend. Not a full on backpacking trip but made me happy.
Music- listening to live music fills me with joy. I am present and happy in ways nothing else makes me. Last time was in August and it was fabulously fun. Planning on more live music next month. Yay!
Just general laughing with my boys. I find them endlessly funny and witty and there is much laughter between us on a regular basis, sometimes more than others. My son had me belly laughing until I was crying on Saturday. I consider that serious fun.

"We find ecstasy in the small moments" I wish I could say I thought of this expression but its not mine. Now fun is something I insisted on years ago. Really! Today's question: aisle or window seat on an airplane? And when you are stuck in the middle seat do you use both armrests? Window seat and, no- I don’t use either arm rest if I’m in the middle seat. This for me too. Window and no arm rests if in the middle. (Avoid the middle like the plague.)

Tuesday's question:
What person alive today inspires you the most?

I like window or aisle but not middle. Window because I enjoy the view and aisle because of easy exit.
The only problem with window is if you have to go to the toilet cause, just like a movie theater, you have to cross too many people in and out.
"excuse me, excuse me, pardon me, I'm so sorry"

Okay, something less heavy.
You are ordering an ice cream sundae, three scoops. What flavors?
(I meant less heavy in a metaphysical sense.)
