15 mins a day on the bike and so far the joints are holding up. Starting to add maca to my supplements as well. Cheerin' you on. My work iPhone has a Fitness app that measures my stairs climbed, calories burned, and steps walked. I get disappointed when I'm under 200 calories of exercise. Nice little goad for anyone who has a new enough iPhone. Have you checked vitamin levels with bloodwork? (I seem to recall you being a Brit, so I don't need to ask if you're insured.) Discovered my low Vitamin D levels when I got aches in my calves. I thought I'd been sitting too much. Well, maybe, but once I took D, the aches went away.

As part of my renewal project, body, mind and soul, I am looking to exercise. My arthritis and knees shut out most exercises. If anyone has any experience of programmes with little joint strain I would be grateful. I am hoping to join an archery club but they have a strict entry of a yearly entry course every May. Swimming maybe? I don't know if you have room or a gym membership but the recumbent bike is great for that. I just them in physical therapy before and after knee replacements. I bought one 10 years ago wasn't super expensive has 8 trails/ programs and still going strong. Yoga is great and you will yourself when you have to get knees replaced your muscles wont be all shortened.

Legs were agony today. Sigh. But I will try being gentle. Do anything different ? Overworked them by accident? Knees? Calves? Thighs? A burst tendon made me stop lifting weights, need to get started again. Injuries kill a lot of exercise programs, but yeah, baby sore muscles. Pain is not always gain. May even enlist guidance from health professionals, if available. Weight lifting gave me a sore back. A nurse told me to try sit ups to strengthen my stomach muscles. Not intuitive, but worked a treat for me.

I like kickboxing, it feels more like I’m learning a skill rather than working out. Muay Thai and MMA are my go to I've been wanting to try but in also have sore joints.. how painful is the impact with the bag?

Had a magic moment in the British Museum when my hips gave up and I was clutching the stairs unable to move. Exercise and meds are not working. I felt like lying down and staying with the mummys

Don't mean to pry.

It may be beneficial to schedule an hour with a physical therapist to review your situation and goals. They can give advice on best routine.

Booked in with a physiotherapist. Was not a great event, a lot of app based exercises and two sessions of thumbs up! Back to square one and off we go again
