I love this. I am sure it is why as you get older some people lose interest in sex and for others if anything it becomes more important. It draws a line between those who are seeing it as a sport, or as a self-gratification exercise (look at me, I am young and hot or my partner is young and hot), versus those who really own their sexuality because it is an integral part of who they are.

Pretty good article that is. Her landmark is the death of 'Ned", and one way and another she has had a breadth of post widowhood sex that far far surpasses mine (with getting out of my ILIASM deal as my landmark, since which I have had one sexual partner only, the delectable Ms enna) - None the less, my experience of "old bastards sex" is pretty much identical to hers, though she has been banging away for 16 years, me nearing 7. There's still been stuff to learn, there's still been stuff to teach and there has still been stuff to mutually share. - This "CrescentDragonWoman" notes the multitude of layers in sex. Absolutely spot on. Still.

I have always felt deeply that sex is the opposite of death.

I have always felt deeply that sex is the opposite of death. AARP has some great articles on their Web site regarding sex, romance and dating for us "seniors". Yes, sex is the opposite of death. It is the affirmation of life and joy. I find it sad to hear of people giving up sex because they are afraid it might kill them. Hell, I would be happy to go into the great beyond while passionately engaged with a horny woman. The undertaker would not be able to get the grin off my face.

I have always felt deeply that sex is the opposite of death. To me, sex is the absolutely best part of living, sharing passion, love, romance, physical intimacy with another woman. Without sex, we might as well be dead.

I'm afraid rigor mortis would make it quite permanent. And hopefully the grin

Swap the genders, and I could have written this.
