I'm thinking of hopping the pond for a 9-day tour of England/Scotland/Wales. A bit anxious going it on my own, and spending the money on myself (so much easier to spend on others). I do love to travel, though, and need to do more of it.

If I don't work up the courage to go there, somewhere in the US. So many interesting spots to visit here as well. =)

So many interesting spots to visit here as well. =) UK travel requires little courage, unless you're facing some of the stuff that winds up on your plate, particularly at breakfast Lots of variety in the US, for sure, though. All sorts of budget and tastes can be accommodated. I've been to Ireland, but was with my ex then. It is more the on my own bit that is daunting. I'm pretty brave trying new foods, so no concerns there!

Ireland is gorgeous, and filled with such friendly people. I am usually pretty okay doing things on my own and can be relatively independent, but this is a big step on my own. If I could find a friend with the funds to join me I'd ask in a heartbeat. haha! Not all of us are cooks, for sure (I love to cook and am pretty good at it)

I may need you to cook something for me, preferably something that will keep, even if it gets side-tracked in the mail. I do my best to be adventurous. Yes, photo taken on my last trip to Tanzania! The only thing that would probably keep would be cookies, brownies, stuff like that. Soup would be a disaster! haha

One must help others during a nutritional crisis!
I am nowhere near Colorado, so no worries of "special" brownies!

Pagan, maybe. Cannibals, no. Just trying to be friendly and helpful. =)

lol! I can make those, by the way. Last time I used homemade raspberry jam, so good! You and the dog will only get a sugar high, promise.

I love to travel, and wish I could do more of it. I rarely have money and time off at the same time, however. So, I don't often get longer or more expensive vacations. I went to New Mexico with my parents last fall. The last big trip before that was in December 2013 - I went to the Bahamas for my big bad 50th birthday.
Right now I've got some time on my hands before my new job starts, so I will do some road-tripping. First stop, Asheville NC with my best friend from college!

I'm trying to figure out where to go. There seems to be a singles upcharge that puts many trips out of reach, or more than my frugal self wants to spend. I will find somewhere to vacation, eventually!
Enjoy the road trip; visiting friends is such fun!

Which works so much better than a sock on the door handle - especially when traveling with a spouse! ;-) So, the key is... Either make good use of the single occupancy, or bring someone along who will make the trip much more enjoyable!

I love to travel, and wish I could do more of it. I rarely have money and time off at the same time, however. Yeah... I used to work in the travel industry. Great benefits, but crap pay - you could see the world, if only you could afford it! I've had the pleasure of seeing a dozen major geographies, thanks to my job, but it's been too many years and I have serious wanderlust. Then, there is so much to see just in the US - amazing geography! A photo buddy and I spent 2 weeks on the road taking pictures and barely scratched the surface of 4 states.

Travel is one of many things that are not a part of my life as long as I stay with my husband. And something to look forward to once I am out.
