Today I was watching my 2 year old grandson. After lunch I put him down for a nap, laying on the bed with him and his 4 year old sister until they fell asleep. After they fell alseep I went to the living room to read. An hour later he came wandering in, sleepy eyed. He crawled into my lap, put his head on my chest - the left side listening to my heartbeat, and fell back asleep. This was a common position for my children and grandchildren when they were infants. But he is a toddler with his own unique personality, a sense of humor, no longer a baby. As he peacefully slept I thought how these times are almost over and I cherished the moment.

Moments to treasure for sure. I can still rock my daughter on my lap like a baby, she's ten about 75 pounds. My son a different story he's 13 but the size of a man at 175 pounds. I still kiss and hug them everyday I see them though. I don't take anything for granted when it comes to loving the people in my life.

My 15 yo is 6ft 2 if not more now and he still sits on me (read crushes me) for a snug And the little one (9 and not so little anymore) is like a koala. I can go about my business while he holds on round my neck and waist ha ha. We have this rule, me and the lads, the bloke doesn't know about it. It's the 15 second love transfer rule. The love and snugginess can't pass to the other person if the hug is less than 15 seconds. It seriously works x

jim44444 , will you help me take a nap? ;-) Of course. In fact I have some other relaxation techniques to employ.

Oh that's just adorable! i kiss my little one's hand at least 20 times at the school drop off. He puts the kisses in his pocket for if he needs one during the day!

My granddaughter is three, there have be a few instances of Papa and Baby napping together in my chair. I think with grandchildren we have learned the lessons of time passing too quickly with our children and so enjoy the grandkids more.
