I am proud that I hiked to the top of Elephant Knees in Anza Borrego Desert State Park. It was 98 degrees with a nice breeze. See the trail. Most of it was nearly straight up. We had to scramble on our hands and feet. I was the second in the group to make it to the top!

I'd like to think that you scaled the summit, stood atop of it and surveyed all below you and yet out a huge yell!

Thank you! I should have done my Tarzan yell! Has that man got a chair strapped to his backside? Handy He did have a seat. I think I'll get one. This young man was amazing. He is the one I paced myself with. We were on top of a hill looking at wind caves. Everyone wanted to walk back down the mile long trail to the wash. I wanted to climb down through a rocky ravine. He volunteered to go with me. Cool. It wasn't hard and it was beautiful and interesting. We were glad we did it.

I have one and it's actually pretty comfortable to use for how little there is to it.

I watched him fold it up and put it in his pack. It folded compactly. This is something different from what I have. With mine you would have to remove and deflate the thermarest do have it more compact than basically folded in half. The one advantage is mine is really well padded since it's a sleeping pad.

I'm proud that I walked away from my crazy-making job last year (after the divorce, after getting sober) & started college. I will get an Associates this May & I've been accepted for a Bachelors degree program for the fall. Really proud that my first semester last fall, I got 4.0 GPA & I'm now a member of an honors society (go figure - all those years my Ex had me convinced that trying for a degree would be too hard). I really love going to college & I get great joy out of my post-divorce resources paying the costs, too. I'm proud to be a smart AND sexy woman-- I really did grow up thinking they may be mutually exclusive. Good god, what ARE you talking about? Smart and sexy go hand in hand, at least for those of us who are interested in dialogue in a relationship. I've run into a couple of woman who had the misfortune of being as dumb as the proverbial box of rocks. Pretty, but really dumb. About as much sex appeal as a female baboon .... in my world. Although I have heard that some men go for that. Incomprehensible. Three cheers for you for getting your edumucation together!

I am proud that I can do house construction work, mechanic work and manage people with a small dabbling in coding/it. There is something to fixing an engine on my own time/ schedule that is therapeutic and a reflection of what is happening to me mentally. Fixing what parts I can, replacing others and finally getting moving again. I can even fix clothes, my motorcycle jacket lost a snap. And yes that is my childhood tackle box being used to hold all the sewing stuff. image hosting gif

I am proud of my daughter who is 28 and will be graduating with a BSN in a couple of weeks. She is also a single mom raising a 3 year old daughter. Grandpa helps out where he can. My son is 29 and has a growing family with a new grandchild due in November! I am proud of my 24 years of military service and that I have a retirement that allows me to work or not work as I choose. I am proud of the service I have been to my community over the last 3 years - I did a lot of good things for my little town. I have found a workable solution to my SM and, for the time being, am able to stay in the marriage of 33 years.
