Clearly, jim44444 is just to the right of the photo, where everyone is looking. He's putting the finishing touches on a live outdoor woodworking performance. (It's a performing art?) The question is, is he wearing a cap, glasses, and a red & white striped shirt? Or maybe I missed the question. ;-)

bballgirl, DryCreek, nancyb. Everyone should visit Key West 1 time. The sunset celebration on Mallory Square is a great time. It has been a wild week with daughters and Son-in-laws and 4 grandkids. A lot of good food and drinks.

DryCreek, are you suggesting that I am working my wood in public? Again?

bballgirl , DryCreek , nancyb . Everyone should visit Key West 1 time. The sunset celebration on Mallory Square is a great time. It has been a wild week with daughters and Son-in-laws and 4 grandkids. A lot of good food and drinks. I can only echo even though I don't drink. If you do drink, even better as you are on an island and not driving anywhere. I remember stumbling out of Capt. Tony's once. I recognized Mallory Square immediately. Was there on my honeymoon. Stayed on Big Pine Key and saw the tiny deer. Loved Hemingway's house, its cats, and its stories.

Stayed on Big Pine Key and saw the tiny deer. Loved Hemingway's house, its cats, and its stories. I too have left Capt. Tony's ĺess steady than whence I entered. I had the pleasure in times past to speak with Capt. Tony. The people here are remarkable, they all seem to have a story. Some here for multi generations, some only here a few weeks. A former research director at a cancer research facility now runs a dinner cruise charter. A former special education teacher selling artwork at a gallery. A farmboy from Missouri is now a dive captain. Even the panhandlers have a story, they always have a story. Give them a dollar and you have 15 minutes of human saga. And yet, as I wrote in a PM to a friend, in spite of all the beauty and humanity there remains a hollowness. It is good to share this with my family loved ones but it would be better to share with a lover.

It is good to share this with my family loved ones but it would be better to share with a lover. Agreed. I've had the privilege of traveling to some amazing places on business. The experience just isn't the same if you don't have someone intimate to share the special moments with.

Loved Key West and bemused by the the resident chickens wandering into the bar!

DryCreek, are you suggesting that I am working my wood in public? Again? Or maybe that's you in the blue T-shirt and checked shorts(centre photo) who's clearly playing pocket billiards.

Looks a lot like StKilda Esplanade in Melbourne Australia. But - - The cars are on the wrong side of the road - Insufficient meth dealers evident - There is no drunken brawling evident - The street lights all seem intact rather than smashed
So it obviously is NOT StKilda Esplanade.

Pretty sunset but is it always that crowded? I feel claustrophobic in those masses of people. But if you appreciate them and their stories then it looks like a fun place for you. Sorry you couldn't experience it with a lover.

Sorry you couldn't experience it with a lover. I am with you on the crowds, i'd rather be on a boat or sitting on a mountain enjoying the sunset. But there is something about the energy from the crowds of people.

Sorry you couldn't experience it with a lover. Yeah, it is usually like that on Mallory Square for sunset. There is music and buskers. Most people come there after dinner. It clears our quickly after sunset. Sometimes it is worse during special events.
