Oh boy, I live off of heavy metal therapy! I have a number of suggestions. Mind you I like my metal fast and loud. 1. I am Hell (Sonata in C#) by Machine Head: Holy hell this song gets the blood flowing! The guitar work in this song is top notch just like it is in so many other Machine Head songs. It starts off slow but it quickly gets to where I need it to be. 2. Pisschrist by Fear Factory: I love everything in this song, the ending leaves me wanting more : "Where is your savior now... Where is your savior now..." The entire album "Demanufacture" is top notch in my opinion. The band was inspired by the Terminator movies, the whole album is songs about machines overthrowing humans and how we need to "demanufacture". 3. Laser Cannon Deth Sentence by Dethklok: Yeah, it's a cartoon metal band but the music is incredible! And to top it off it's ONE GUY that does everything! He plays and records each instrument and then mixes them together with vocals. 4. People = Shit by Slipknot: You like hard and fast, this is it! Slipknot is well known for creating what they call their "wall of sound". Nine guys in this band, three of them playing drums, it's impressive.

I can identify with Laser Cannon more than Slipknot. Long story short, my last college band experience at a recording studio, we had a drum machine. The engineer asked us about the drummer, and I said we had to sell him to medical research because the extra mouth to feed was cutting into the beer money.
