So, I got a nice unexpected day off from work today. Everything is closed because the temperature with the wind chill is hovering between -30 and -40 in our region. Staying inside in my PJs all day. Exposed skin freezes in less than 5 minutes in this cold so nobody's going out.

I'm off today for snow/cold, and had a snow day yesterday too. Wind chills here -10 to -25. Brrrr! Stay warm!

F that! I'll stick to the 120° summers and rattlesnakes, thank you.
We get a lot of seasonal visitors here from up along the US / Canadian border. I'm thinking they would've paid double this year!

I'm sick. And at work. Because I like my "days off" more then my "co-workers"

Lucky you! We never get to close for cold, rarely ever snow, either. Enjoy!

We got a few inches of snow; now it’s sunny but bone-chillingly cold. Lots of places are closed completely, but my employer has us working from home (naturally.) I don’t want to go out because I’ve heard the secondary roads are still bad. But I think I’ll go crazy if I’m locked up inside by myself much longer.

My workplace changed policy and makes us use vacation day for snow closure. Sucks. I would like to "work" at home. I'd be so exhausted from eating cheese puffs. Sunny over here though.

Counterpoint. In my jurisdiction today 42 deg C (app 105 deg F) at 4pm. Hotter to come tomorrow apparently.
Still, it causes Ms enna to walk around wearing very little, if anything. So roll on 45 deg !!

So roll on 45 deg !! It only gets that hot here a few days each year. I can't function in that kind of heat. I just want to lay down and not move until it passes.

Not unusual summer weather where I live. Indeed, great weather to frolic in the buff in my pool.
But this week, we had our first snow in 30 years, enough for people to make 2 inch high snow people..., wore clothes to bed for s change.

Reading about just how cold it is other places I feel like a p*ssy. It's been down to 8-10 degrees here in piedmont NC. I know that doesn't seem cold to some of you, but when it normally hovers around 32 at night(in January) it seems pretty dam* cold to me. Where is that "global warming" when you need it?
