I am sharing this because some on here have told me I am good at manifesting via "law of attraction" but I have to get it out there, I really don't believe in "law of attraction." I saw the movie, read a few books by those in the movie, and I don't even think those IN the movie all believe it the way the movie portrayed it.
I like this article by Martha Beck about it, though. Powerful. It speaks to me in a deep way, though I have a hard time explaining how.
I don't think we can simply attract "what we think" but I DO think we ATTRACT what is unseen, in the heart, the REAL essence of us (our soul's desire??). Maybe? Who knows. Interesting to think about, though. Perspective becomes a big part of this. Two people can be "doing" the same things but have total different results based on the unseen.
Is my marriage a Trojan horse? Could be. Probably is - it's an earthly joy that will someday end. I am enjoying and appreciating the heck out of it RIGHT NOW knowing it will someday end.
I think that's what it is to be on this earth but not "of" the earth. Enjoy the earth, but you are more than this "earth."
I also think our lives are nothing more, really, than the "story" we give it. (and why memories sometimes lie) I can spin my story in a million different ways, this is the way I am writing it and I am attracting what I am creating in my own mind (in some ways). Deep beliefs, not just thoughts, but something more.

The meta-learning I take from all this is simple: know that your story is your own invention, and that it will die. Hold it lightly. Enjoy your gift-horse. And when the Greek soldiers pour out of it, offer them your sword.
