Lovely autumn day, so off me and a couple of mates head off up the valley into the Warby Ranges, the foothills of the High Country. Pic is taken at a little place called Eldorado (the gold ran out in the 1950's) and we are parked outside the pub (how unusual !!) which is reputedly "TheSmallest Hotel In Victoria". Lovely food, stuck to my "one beer limit" when I am riding and a very tasty pilsner it was too. It may well be the smallest pub in Victoria, but there's quite a big outdoor area, ideal for a day like today. WindSister - that's my old Yamaha VStar 1100 in the foreground, my mates Triumph Rocket 3 in the middle, and another's Yammy 1100.

Nice bikes! Glad you enjoyed a great day of riding. I love biker shares.
We have been riding all weekend, after our work around house (it's a 3 day holiday weekend in the states). Yesterday my H had me lead most of the time. That was stressful, but I did it and he said I did good. Didn't know where we were going, just rode. Got on super curvy stretches. Saw deer heading for us, but luckily they thought better and turned around. I braked a bit, but was in control and not panicky.
Where I sucked was in the packed tourist town we ended up in. People, cars, motorcycles everywhere! I had to make a left turn from a stop sign, slanted down angle hill so I didn't have good footing, had to brake from rolling out in traffic, parked cars blocking my view of on-coming traffic. My H went out and was trying to say it was clear, but I wasn't looking at him, I was looking at traffic. So I hesitated a bit and then had to wait. I was mumbling and swearing a bit, some bikers on the patio of the bar on the corner laughed at me (can't blame them..lol) but then one yelled, "don't worry, you got this.... go now!!!" I waved a thank you and went. My H was on the side of the road up a block kinda frustrated with me. Ugg!! Hurt my confidence a bit, but it's all practice. Then we ended up on a road construction highway for 17 miles .. all paved, at least, but uneven lanes and huge bumps every so often. Was glad to get home and crack a beer!!! During our After Actiom Review of the ride over beer, my H did say he is happy I was looking at traffic for myself, I just need to learn how to act quicker without that hesitation.
I gotta learn to loosen up on her a bit. That hopefully comes with more practice. The little 30 mile trek I did on my own after work on Friday truly felt like Wind Therapy. No traffic. No towns. I'll try to bike to my new job as often as I can just to get those miles in.
Anyway, sorry for sharing my adventures on your thread. Glad you have enjoyed some great rides!! 😎

The less people, the better! Very pretty, too!

FWIW Sister WindSister , I follow this bloke "Kevin Morris" on youtube. He's a motorcycle instructor in Fort Worth. And his video's can be found under "MCRider" Apart from having to 'mirror image' in my head what he says and demonstrates (on account of the fact we ride/drive on the left hand side in my jurisdiction) I think he is worth a look, irrespective of ones level of experience. His clips are quite watchable, and usually of about 8 to 10 minutes and directed at a specific aspect of riding, like "emergency braking" or "lane positioning" or "riding in traffic" etc.
