Stumbled on to an interesting site a while back. Ancient Origions...You can figure it out from the title so I won't go into it much. Needless to say, if history interests you at all you will probably find something there you like.

Reading The Five, a book about the five wonen killed by Jack the Ripper. The authoress stops each biography just before the murder, so no gruesome slashing. But she reveals their lives and the lives of poor 19th century women. It is humbling and riviting.

As we are all probably spending a lot more time at home I"d like to recommend a short weekly read. The site is called Existential Hour. It's just a few paragraphs each week about different philosophers, usually with an attempt toward viewing them in a humorous context.
