The business I am in (delivering rental trucks) is labeled an "essential business". So, if there is a state wide shutdown I will still be working. What about others on this forum?
The Interstates and highways are much less crowded lately, I see plenty of other truckers rollin' every day! I'm glad the gas stations remain open and full of fuel!

Self quarantining in Mexico as government officials are recommending for everyone non essential . Glad to be with post sm partner of 7 years and not my ex. I’d literally rather be quarantined alone than with him. Writing this naked while being cuddled by post sm partner who is sleeping and naked. If we both get the virus and die maybe we’ll be found in each other’s arms like that Pompeii couple. The virus terrifies me. At 68 and with hypertension I’m vulnerable. But I could die now with no major regrets. So glad I followed my dreams of leaving my marriage and then later followed my dream of moving to Mexico. Don't be terrified. The death rate is quite low unless you are unlucky or have another health condition. It's not a death sentence for most. Just stay inside and wash your hands. In the meantime, fuck like there's no tomorrow. 🙄👍🏼😉

Retired so no reason to go to work which is OK with me. The down side is I rely on some dividends for my retirement income. One company quit paying dividends which is understandable because their profits are down to near zero. I hope my dividends do not drop more than 50%.
I do not know how I feel about congress passing the bill to give everyone thousands of dollars if they apply for it.
I would like the unemployment funds to be able to pay out for unemployed workers.
A local woman works in a coffee shop and used to get enough tip money to mostly make her car payment. With no sit-down customers her tips took a drastic hit so she is concerned she won't be able to make her full car payment.
ME? I don't buy on credit so no worry about car loans.

Our country is going into lockdown tomorrow. Everything will shut except essential things like food outlets. Not even take-away foods will be allowed to open.
Since we have not been stockpiling, we went to the supermarket last night to get some fresh food and some essentials like oats and flour. Devastation. No flour, no oats, no fish, no DIY yoghurt powder, no rump steak or chicken drumsticks ('on special') ... but I do think they had toilet paper. I think. I don't use the stuff, I have a bidet. But we will have to go shopping again in the next few days due to the panicking hamsters filling their burrows. Would have preferred to get a bag of flour, 2 bags of oats and stay home for a fortnight.

Last week I was surprised to find plenty of rice, dried beans, flour, sugar sweet potatoes and can goods. What was cleaned out was fresh fruits, much of the fresh produce, Irish/Russet potatoes and of coarse the paper isle was empty except for 1 roll of paper towels. Plenty of frozen stuff, meat (fresh and frozen) and everything else that can be frozen was available. Plenty of pet food available also.

Dog food is limited. Some TP is back on the shelves but a sign said "one only." No beans or rice and no box dinners.

There are no food shortages in Atlanta that I know of. This too shall pass. It's not like living without love and/or sex!

I like to get out and socialize. I have everything I need at home but it is still somewhat lonely.
I did work on a friends car while they were at work.

Breaking News....Costco refuses to accept returns of hoarded products, TP, paper towels, rice, etc. Maybe come the Spring yard sales I can pick up some 12 packs of TP for 25 cents on the dollar.

FaceTime is a great way to socialize while in quarantine. My mood elevated yesterday while talking with friends in the states.

I went to Starbucks and there was a long line. So…I said in a loud voice, “Walmart just got in a shipment of toilet paper!” BOOM!.....No line.
I really didn't go to Starbucks. I am staying home like a good Boy Scout that follows orders.

Coronavirus hit close yesterday when my sons’ cousin (via my ex) died of the virus yesterday in Michigan. She was a beautiful woman on her 40s.
Let the people you love and care about know now. There may not be much time to do so.

I'll keep going to work unless my company closes. I doubt they will. They are not an essential business but they were struggling before the virus ever started. If they close for even a couple weeks I believe the company will go under.
I've been working to start my own business but would prefer to work longer at my old job so I can slowly transition to my computer business. Hoping they won't go under in this down turn.

There is a sort of internet joke about having a cyber buddy. They get the passwords and lists of friends so they can contact online friends and lovers to let them know. Solicitors also suggest leavibg such instructions with them with your will

I don't think it is a "good Boy Scout" that follows the orders. I believe that was the common answer given by the captured German solders back in WW II .
