Based on my anecdotal clinical experiences, love to a BPD/NPD means:
“You won’t ever leave me no matter how badly I treat you.” “It’s what people who love each other/are family do (i.e., keep the abuse secret, cover up/lie for me and tolerate/make excuses for my behavior).” “If you love me, you accept me unconditionally without complaint and never hold me accountable.“ “You never expect or demand what I expect and demand from you. I do whatever I want and you do as I say.“ “You take care of me forever even if we’re no longer together and it hurts you.“
