Roasted a 20 pound turkey I got marked down post Thanksgiving for only $15! That's a lot of meals for very little money. Too bad out marriages don't come with a pop-up timer like turkeys have that tell us when they are done. Stick a fork in it, eh?

We just had a turkey breast. I made turkey sandwiches with the leftovers the first day and then turkey salad (mayo onion relish celery walnuts spices) after that. Toast a couple slices of 7 grain bread, add a leaf of lettuce and you are good to go. Nice brown turkey Saarinista. What are your plans for the leftovers? Maybe a ILIASM turkey and noodle coup kitchen for us home-less folks? I made some fresh cranberry and navel orange relish as a chaser to your soup.

Turkey sandwiches (husband is making me one-he's nice about that kind of thing which I appreciate, he's just not interested in sex!) and the rest goes in the freezer while I think.
Alas, he tossed the carcass, which I wanted to make into soup but oh well. Maybe I can. Make turkey tetrazzini and turkey enchiladas? Sandwiches get boring after a while.

That's a good looking bird. Maybe tortilla soup, or just make some sides. Pull out a package and match a side each week until it's gone.
My sis makes enchiladas with buttered flour tortillas with a cream of chicken soup mixed with sour cream and green chillies turkey and cheese filling with the tortillas dipped in the sauce all rolled up then the leftover sauce and cheese on top. So yummy

Yes to the enchiladas! Do you think "Grubhub" would make a delivery to me or should I come and get it?

The house will cave in if a load bearing wall is removed without installing a support beam to replace the load bearing wall. Maybe instead of a beam, we could make up some type of an arch and transfer the load to the outside walls. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gothic-arch_barnIt might take me a month to get there on my bicycle. Let me think it over.

Yummy turkey. I eat lots of leftovers too. "But the problem of not being able to get SEX somewhere else without fear of hurting his feelings as well as being labeled a home wrecker, harlot, etc- (and possibly being labeled those things LEGALLY in the state of North Carolina, and perhaps a few other jurisdictions in the United States as well) remains." I feel the same about the former but I wonder if the opportunity actually presents itself, what would we really do? haha, it's not so bad in NC even if harlotry is forbidden...sunshine today.

As an old "Tarheel" this is one of my favorite songs, second only to "Carolina in the Pines". And more sunshine in the forecast for today, although it is a bit hotter than I like it in May.

Iwoetin broke my chain of thought. I meant to post about Cicadas as a source of protein. Just like in the movie "Hildago" they are supposed to be pretty tasty once you get past the eyeballs....Which reminds me, I haven't seen one of those brood x bugs yet.
