A team at the university of Indiana has developed a blood test using RNA markers to detect depression and zero in on the appropriate medication. Just spoke to the Dr's assistant who is heading up the program, as a longtime treatment resistant depression sufferer this would be the pot of gold. Not currently available in Canada through provincial health but one can go privately (AT A COST OF $1800 USD). Would be a big hit to my bank account (I am not exactly wealthy) but I think it will be worthwhile investing in it medicine.iu.edu/news/2021/04/IU-School-of-Medicine-researchers-develop-blood-test-for-depression-and-bipolar-disorder
