No - just my GP - I go next Monday for specialized options with someone else. I will be bringing it up.

My doctor told me that pellets are not an option for men - I asked for clarification. Pretty sure I'm a man and I've been getting pellets for several years now 😊 I tried injections each week for a while and there is an up and down effect that I didn't really like. The pellets are a more steady release over the course of several months. More even keel. How long they last is dependent upon your respiration and your size. If you work out a bunch and / or are big they will last shorter. I need a new set about every 5 months. I'm a pretty big guy (260 pounds) so they need to load a lot into me. You kind of need to be aware of yourself as you get towards the end since there isn't a neon sign that tells you. Instead you may feel that you are more tired, erections might not be as spontaneous, etc... Time to get back into the doc. The cost works out about the same for me. Oddly enough insurance covered my shots with a $30 copay but I needed a shot every week. The pellets are something like $600 2-3 times per year or so so it's pretty much a wash. I use my HSA account with my insurance to pay for them with pre tax dollars which helps a bit. Hope that helps!

lonelyhubby,...If you are a senior man I have been reading that the pellet implants are not recommended for you. That would be me also as I am 76. I use testosterone cypionate injections once a week as my method of TRT. 1/2 cc puts my testerone in the 600-700 range which is perfect for a male my age. I do have to take anastrozole to address the Estrogen created when the testosterone in broken down for use in the body. I started with topical medication but it did not have any effect on my T levels so after 2 months my doctor prescribed injections which raised my T level. Unfortunately my then W had pretty much lost her libido following menopause, so we were really mismatched libido wise at that point. You might consider reading up on testerone cypionate.

Went the gel route - in week #3, every morning after shower applied to shoulders, upper arms and abdomen, according to my physician, i should start seeing some changes. Here is what I have noted so far:
Regular - 3:30Am morning wood Skin on face is becoming more oily (never ever had issues with acne) Veins on upper chest and forearms are more pronounced I am running warmer than usual, especially at night Mild afternoon headaches (one of the listed effects) Slight increase in spontaneous erections during the day (If I were school aged, I would have to cover with a stack of books - LOL)
will wait for at least another 30 days before I discuss with my physician - I want to ensure this is not some sort of placebo effect or other adjustment going on.

In my 3rd month on t-gel daily. My T levels came back at 820 / with 54% bioavailable, and well over 2% free.
I feel better, turning 60 next month and concentrating on working out, trimming down and being in the best shape I can be - either for the wife, or for someone else

Funny how medications can work so differently in individuals. I hope you fare better than me when it comes to making use of those T fueled erections. My spouse who was aroung 63, I was 65 when I started the TR reqimum. Unfortunately for me seeing my bone pointed at her was the last thing she wanted. Hope it goes better for you.
