Paraphrase:
I'm tired of trying to extract intimacy from an emotionally retarded intimacy averse dud. Yeah
I'm tired of using up all my energy trying everything just for the slim hope that we'll do what normal couples do without even thinking about it. Whoa baby
I'm tired of crying myself to sleep after you turn away from me. Uh huh
I'm tired of being your mother. I want to be your wife. Come on yeah.
I'm tired of feeling lonely when I'm with you Mmmm
I'm sorry I'm so tired...you have been served! Zipidee doodah!

It's strange that in my younger days, I used to cringe when I heard a steel guitar. Now most of what I listen to is alt country or what they call Americana music. Something about the sad music and the stories the songs tell.

A great steel and dobro player.
