I don't know much about social media apps or Parler. I am not dismissing any recent events. I have considered past events more than the current ones. I used to watch recordings of congressional hearings. There are big stinks but few peoplein high positions get punished so to me it is mostly show. It is usually the little guys that get hit with prison time and big fines. Below is only one example. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentagon_PapersThe Pentagon Papers, officially titled Report of the Office of the Secretary of Defense Vietnam Task Force, is a United States Department of Defense history of the United States' political and military involvement in Vietnam from 1945 to 1967. The papers were released by Daniel Ellsberg, who had worked on the study; they were first brought to the attention of the public on the front page of The New York Times in 1971.[1][2] A 1996 article in The New York Times said that the Pentagon Papers had demonstrated, among other things, that the Johnson Administration had "systematically lied, not only to the public but also to Congress. I watch some of Edward Snowden's videos and videos of other people that told the public the CIA and other government agencies were collecting data on ordinary citizens and violating constitutional rights.

IMO both Snowden and Assange are heroes and should have been pardoned by Trump. I don't expect Obama/Biden/Harris to be ethical about any of this. I was hoping Trump would be, but, the unethical machine kept him busy with distractions and he still accomplished a lot to help all Americans.
I wasn't a fan of Assange when he first came to light, but I no longer believe the assertions of the powers that be that he put American troops at risk.
Meanwhile, the left can't help but brag.

The guy about the "Time Magazine" video over states things and is biased, except for the idea that the big corporations, lobbyists and the rich really run the country.

I'm watching the Super Bowl from my jurisdiction.
It's about halfway through the 2nd Q.
I am looking forward to the end of the game and the losing coach angrily disputing the accuracy of the score and inciting his players to riot.

For me the Super Bowl is about the good commercials, not who wins or loses.

The halftime show had all the understated charm of a Nuremberg Rally. ššSo predictible and overwrought and steroided up.

I don't kink shame. If someone is into watching muscular men in tight clothing run around and sweat that is their business, although I worry when those grown men put the names of rapists on their jerseys and ignore the true victim because of some odd concept of "justice".
My sports interests are limited to things like women's beach volleyball, and will remain so until the Biden mandate to kill women's sports results in junk hanging out of the bikinis.

Handy, get out your dictionary and look up "piss-take". Oh, and "irony" and "sarcasm". I have a black sense of humour.
b.t.w. I am well aware of hypoxia and hyperoxia.

Well "piss-take" is a new term to me. So was "Great Oxidation Event" Until yesterday. I heard there were 5 major extinctions but I didn't remember the earlier ones were about. I knew about the giant asteroid or comet that crashed into the ocean floor off the coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula 66 million years ago and deposited the KT boundary.
Scientists have found a graveyard that offers evidence of how quickly it all happened. In North Dakota, the unique site is filled with a wide variety of plant and animal speciesāfish, burned tree trunks, conifer branches, dead mammals, mosasaur bones, insects, the partial carcass of a Triceratops, marine microorganisms called dinoflagellates and snail-like marine cephalopods called ammoniteāthat all died at once.
Burned tree trunks in North Dakota surprised me but then again there were lots of fires around the world at the time.
.....the algorithm concluded that while the ābig fiveā mass extinctions are part of the top 5 percent of all time population change events, so are āseven additional mass extinctions, two combined mass extinctionāradiation events and 15 mass radiations.ā

Oxygen causes corrosion. Increasing O2 levels increaes fire risks. Given enough oxygen, otherwise stable combustibles can spontaneously ignite. It's really amazing when normal healthy chemicals get banned for no real reason.

I learned a long time ago, never oil the oxygen fittings on the oxygen bottle. Just let then squeak when tightening or loosening them.

I do hope that lesson was learned vicariously, but it's a good titbit to know.
